About this product

Woven in Xiamen and slit on a tension-controlled line, so the 16 mm width holds at both ends of the run. Most orders go into general purpose closures, bags, packaging and display mounting. Minimum order is 1,000 pcs.

Each piece weighs about 3.2 g; 1,000 pieces to a carton. Tolerance on width is ±0.5 mm, on die-cut profile ±0.3 mm.

Ordering and shipping

  • Sold by the roll, carton or pallet — mixed widths allowed.
  • EXW Xiamen, FOB or CIF to your port.
  • T/T 30% deposit, balance against copy of B/L.
  • Sample orders ship by courier in 7 days.

Choosing this construction

The buckle has to match the webbing width exactly — a 25 mm buckle on 25 mm webbing is correct, on 20 mm webbing it slides. Metal wire buckles suit sewn-free assemblies; plastic side-release buckles suit anything the end user opens by hand.

Common questions

What is 16 mm hook and loop used for?

At 16 mm this construction is normally specified for cable bundling, apparel closures, small adjustable straps and light packaging. The width does not change the peel per unit width much, but narrower tape engages fewer hooks at the edge, which is where peeling starts — so if the joint opens repeatedly, go up one width rather than up one grade.

Will the buckle fit my webbing?

Only if the widths match exactly. A 25 mm buckle on 25 mm webbing is correct; the same buckle on 20 mm webbing slides under load. We can supply webbing and buckle together so the fit is guaranteed rather than assumed.

Metal or plastic?

Zinc-plated wire buckles suit sewn-free assemblies and hold a hard tension. POM side-release buckles are what end users expect to open by hand, and they do not corrode. Neither is stronger in the abstract — it depends on whether the strap is adjusted by a machine or a person.

What is the minimum order and lead time?

Minimum order for this item is 1,000 pcs. Production runs 15–25 days after sample approval, with samples typically shipped in 7 days.
